Bordissot Blanca Rimada Plant
Bordissot Blanca Rimada is a Spanish variety preserved and documented by Monserrat Pons. The fig is highly popular and recognized by collectors for both its striking variegation and excellent taste. When grown at home the flavor is superior, the figs sold at retail stores do not come event close to the real thing. The figs are medium in size and have a distinctive yellow background and green stripes. Some sugar spots can develop when the fig is at its ripest. This variety is very productive; however, the ripening period is late, spanning from late September into late October. This variety requires an early start on the northeast. The look of this tree is amazing, and it is a conversation piece for the garden.
