This fig originates from Syria. We acquired this variety to increase the number of early options in our collection. Byadi has been a great addition, it is early, very productive, and figs have an excellent flavor. The size of the figs is medium to large.
We pick this fig well after it feels soft to the touch, thus the hang time is anywhere between 5-8 days. This is a honey type fig with bright yellow color. The flavor is closer to a sweet floral syrup than honey. The syrup is something really special as it coats the palate and leaves a lingering elegant flavor. The texture of the figs is juicy with some crunch. The tree is a vigorous grower, and it does not require much care other than the usual fertilization and watering routine. We recommend this variety to collectors that want a consistent and productive early variety.
