De S’Avenc Plant

$60.00

De S’Avenc is a burgundy color fig. The fig has a somewhat nostalgic background, Monserrat Pons discovered the fig growing on a cereal farm named ses Cosmes. This was the last tree of an original set of four planted by Antoni Salva over a hundred years ago, as described by Mr. Pons on his book. The variety was unknown to Mr. Salva and the name De S’Avenc was assigned to it. Mr. Pons is very careful with his descriptions, and only the best varieties are described with terms such as "juicy" and "sweet". This variety is described with both of these adjectives. It takes time to have it mature and set figs.
