De Tres Esplets Plant
De Tres Esplets is a Spanish fig documented and preserved by Monserrat Pons. This fig tree is the most productive and consistent tree I have owned. The same year we rooted our first cuttings, we were able to obtain fruit at the end of September which is very unusual. The tree is constantly setting new figs, and you get a very consistent extended crop. The name denotes its ability to set three crops in the year, this is highlighted by Mr. Pons in his records of the variety. The flavor of the figs is excellent, they are very sweet and syrupy. There can also be tones of berry for figs that ripen at peak dry conditions. The variety is susceptible to splitting hence it is recommended to manage watering and place on a well-draining area in the yard. This is a really good variety for anyone collecting figs or trying to acquire a consistent and highly productive variety.
