Smith is a must have variety for anyone growing figs. The texture of the fig is juicy and buttery, with figgy flavor and pronounced tones of berry and honey. This variety can often produce nectar and drips from the ostiole. This fig is very productive. The tree is a virous grower and sets a lot of figs. In 2024 it was in my top 3, Production is typically between 200 to 250 figs in a container plant. In 2024, we invited some close friends during the summer and fall to pick figs from my trees, Smith got the blue ribbon. Every single person across multiple occasions during the summer and fall picked Smith as their favorite!
